Key Features:
- Locates wires both powered and de-powered, traces circuits to breaker
- Pinpoints short and open faults in wires
- Traces both AC and DC circuits up to 600 V
Amprobe AT-7030 also features all of the industry standard wire tracer functionality, plus two tracing frequencies for reduced signal coupling, precise unambiguous breaker location, onscreen help guides, and adjustable NCV detection. This model includes a battery booster for the transmitter, rechargeable receiver batteries and a signal clamp attachment.
High power mode is used initially for tracing circuits, then low power mode helps to pinpoint shorts or opens, especially those found in difficult areas. The 6kHz frequency is recommended for tracing energized circuits, whereas 33kHz frequency works better when locating de-energized circuits. Additional clamp provides extra help in tracing wires, when there is no direct access to bare wires.
