the 0.10oz per year sensitivity can find just about any leak you can imagine. The ir sensor lasts basically forever which is great as i hate downtime and i never have a backup unit or sensor.

Inficon doesn't make too many products and usually has one option for each category. I would label them more as a top end brand that some other options out there. This leak detector is another example of this utilizing an infrared sensor that has a 1000 hour cell life. I like that it can withstand large exposures and not ruin the sensor as that is why I needed a new detector in the first place. Its nice to have a real detector for once.

I definitely recommend getting a unit with an IR sensor like this one if you're doing leak detection. It basically will last forever as far as test equipment goes so you don't have to worry about the chemical sensor burning out. .
