UEi has recently introduced the Eagle X series of Combustion Analyzers featuring all new CO2 Sensor Technology which greatly reduces the cost of ownership for the device, since normal electro-chemical sensors tend to need replacement on an annual basis. The Eagle X Series uses an Electro Optical Sensor (EOS) to take direct CO2 measurements and then calculates the O2 level. Additionally, these models include an extended life dedicated O2 sensor, which carries a 5 year limited warranty and significantly reduces sensor replacement frequency.

Vacuum Pumps for HVAC Systems (Issue July 16th 2010)
A good practice when employing vacuum pumps is to use them immediately after the evacuation of refrigerant. Even when you pull refrigerant down to 29 inches of vacuum, there is still some moisture vapor left in the system.
