Armada Technologies Pro871C Underground Cable Locator with Inductive Clamp
Armada Pro871C Underground Cable Locator is a new low cost locator for contractors and maintenance personnel. Incorporating a dual frequency transmitter and sensitive receiver, the Pro871C tracks many types of cabling, including CATV, electrical, telephone, and lighting. The Armada Pro871C Underground Cable Locator with Inductive Clamp makes locating wires and cables simple.
- Dual Frequency Underground Cable Locator
- Incorporates 5 different tracking modes (2 direct connect, 2 inductive, 1 passive) and allows users to locate the path of underground cables.
- Tracks many types of cabling, including CATV, electrical, telephone, dog fencing and landscape lighting, using either null or peak reception modes.
- Includes high and low direct connect frequency capability, a built in inductive antenna, a passive 50/60Hz detection mode, as well as null or peak tracking options.
- The new IC3 inductive clamp (included with the Pro871C version) allows non-metallic inductive connection to wires and cables, inducing signal onto the conductor and providing a tracing signal.
The Pro871C Underground Cable Locator comes with Inductive Clamp that allows non-metallic connection to wires and cables, inducing signal onto the conductor and providing a tracing signal. Armada Pro871C Underground Cable Locator offers features not previously available at a budget conscious price point.
The Armada Technologies Pro871C features both high and low frequency capability and either null or peak tracking capability. In addition, the IC871 Inductive Clamp allows non-metallic connection to wires and cables, inducing signal onto the conductor and providing a tracing signal.

Armada Pro871C Buried Cable Locator
Nothing bad to say about this unit. Gets the job done and is versatile with mutliple connection points aswell as the peak and null functions.
The inductive clamp makes it easy to make sure you have the signal going to the right place. I also happen to like the headphones.
best low cost locator
I think this is the best low cost locator. Tracing cables is easy and long wand does help. Two frequencies increase accuracy and range. We use lower frequency on wires and higher on bigger cable or pipes. The clamp makes is more universal, as you can trace wires without direct connect. Price is right too.
Can't beat the price on this unit but it does have some drawbacks. No display can be tough for some people but not something i care about. Very easy to set up and the audible sounds are adequately loud.
A very capable product. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but for the price you aint paying for those! Can locate and trace a wire with no real problems.
Lots of uses
This is a great tool for all kinds of cabling, power, telecom, invisible fence, so and so on. Lots of modes and a few frequencies. All you need unless you're doing lots of irrigation too
Modes galore plus clamp
This is a killer locator. 5 total tracing modes plus the inductive clamp boost. A lot of bang for your buck
clamp is useful
This clamp is very useful, when you don't have a direct access to cables. Just clamp around a conductor or a conduit and start locating. Great stuff.
Go with best
Armada knows what their doing. I've tried saving money with cheaper models, but the Pro871C is worth every penny.
4 different ways to hook this unit to get a signal. Sometimes you never know what you'll find at a site so this versatility is much appreciated.
simple, but accurate
I think dual frequency makes it more accurate. It works great, and we save lots of time locating cables fast. Two thumbs up.
Just what I needed. We have a building with an old infrastructure, with several old systems on it. Works awesome and the price/delivery was spot on. Video sealed the deal for me, which was very nice feature.
