The Bacharach 19-8106 is an easy to use refrigerant leak detector that uses a patented heated-diode sensor to locate all CFCs, HFCs, HCFCs refrigerants including R-12, R-22, R-134a, R-404A, R-410A, R-502, and R-507. The Tru Pointe is suitable for HVAC service technicians, refrigerant service technicians, plant maintenance departments, automotive service facilities, and refrigerant & environmental chamber manufacturers who need a lightweight and rugged refrigerant detector capable of detecting and pinpointing small to large refrigerant leaks in tight spaces that are often found in refrigeration units and automobile engine compartments.

This refrigerant leak detector has a sensitivity of 0.5 oz. /year in normal sensitivity mode and the sensitivity level can easily be adjusted by pressing the High/Low sensitivity button on the keypad to adapt to a variety of applications and refrigerants. When an increased level of refrigerant is detected, the instrument alerts the user by both a variable-intensity audible and visual LED alarm.
The Tru Pointe leak detector has automatic zeroing and background compensation that allows a leak to be quickly found in contaminated areas without requiring manual sensitivity adjustments.
The leak detector has a 14” flexible probe for detecting leaks in hard-to-reach areas. The Tru Pointe refrigerant detector is operated by 2 “D” batteries and has a battery life between 11 to 20 hours depending on the sensitivity level selected. The unit also has a low battery indication on the keypad.
