Milliohm meters measure low resistance to identify poor connections that decrease electrical system performance. For accurate measurements of components like switches and relay contacts, you will need to resolve resistance values of one ohm or less with resolution in the milliohms. Contact resistance due to oxidation or corrosion build-up will require a substantial current to break through any film built up on the contacts.
