The 24:1 distance to spot ratio allows to see objects from a safe distance, e.g.: if you are looking at an area of 1 foot in diameter, you can be 24 feet away from it.
The Flir TG165 infrared camera works well within temperature range of 14 to 113 degree (F), so you can use it for both indoors and outdoors. The Flir spot thermal camera weighs only 11 ounces, so it is easy to handle in just one hand.
