MRU 400GD Multi-Functional Gas Leak Detector for use on Natural Gas, Propane, Refrigerants, Humidity, Temperature & Stack Moisture

The MRU 400GD is a multi-functional detector with 7 interchangeable sensor heads for gas leak detection, refrigerant detection, room climate measurements, and temperature measurements. The 400GD is the base unit and you buy individual sensors for detection of methane / natural gas, propane, refrigerants as well as sensors to measure humidity, temperature, and stack moisture depending on your application. The brilliant color, graphic display on the multi-functional detector shows values and trending.

The MRU 400GD includes one base unit that can be combined with a range of interchangeable sensors to cover a broad range of applications to provide a compact and cost effective solution. The system works by plugging in one of the seven interchangeable sensors, after a brief 30 sec. warm-up (if needed), the detector is ready to be used. Some of the sensors need a brief warm-up phase, but others such as the moisture sensor RM400, the infrared temperature sensor IR400, and the hygrometer HM400 sensor once installed are ready to go.

After setting the user adjustable alarm threshold, you are ready to slowly move the sensor along a pipe or area that is being tested. The 400GD has a 1.8” color graphic display that is easy to read. The detector will display the measurement result as ppm, % and % LEL as well as simultaneously display a graphic progression curve of the entire measurement.

The leak detector provides three types of alerts when the alarm threshold is reached. It will trigger a red LED on the sensor, an audible beeping, and a vibration on the base unit.

At the touch of a button, the GD400 will generate a QR code with the measurement data for automatic transfer to a smartphone as a text or an e-mail. The measurement protocol cannot be saved in the 400GD. Once the unit is turned off all measurement data will be lost.

The refrigerant leak detector is compact in size, lightweight, and made from a sturdy fiberglass enclosure with a protection rating of IP30. It comes with a strong lithium-ion battery and is rechargeable via a mini-USB to provide up to 20 hours of operation.

The basic kit includes the base unit and a Li-ion battery. The carrying case and sensors are purchased separately allowing you to customize a kit with the sensor(s) that are applicable to your needs.
