The industrial direct insert RTD Probe is composed of 24 gauge copper wire covered with an FEP insulator. The sheath is made from 316 stainless steel and the aluminum head has a sealed cap protecting the terminal block from dust and moisture. The head has an opening side for a 3/4" NPT(F) connection to the electrical conduit. The direct insert RTD probes with aluminum head offer greater accuracy and are known to be used in industrial applications, chemical processes, production lines, ovens, furnaces, and vessels.
