Fixed-mount installation lets the Si2a-LD monitor compressed air and gas systems around the clock, catching the hidden losses conventional monitoring does not identify. An array of 124 low-noise MEMS microphones visualizes sound from 2 to 130 kHz and locates leaks from 1.0 to 656' (0.3 to 200 m). Automatic recognition estimates each leak's size and its annual cost for compressed air, ammonia, argon, carbon dioxide, helium, hydrogen, methane, natural gas and nitrogen. Typical duty is distribution pipework, valves, fittings and connections, plus gas infrastructure where fugitive emissions and seal degradation become a safety risk.
