The QStar features Anti-Noise Deflection Technology — Qstar's transducers are designed to minimize the noise of ringing from the transducer and pipe, which causes disruptive signals that could interfere with the desired signal and a loss in energy for the "ringing" instead of the main signal.
It also has Automatic Fluid Control Technology — If the sonic velocity of the fluid changes, such as changes in temperature or in the composition of the fluid, the position of the transducer is no longer correct and the reading of the flow will change and have an additional error. QStar meters measure the sonic velocity and by refraction of the signal path continuously calculates the "miss-positioning" of the transducers and compensates for the effect of the miss-position.
The Cross Correlation Signal Detection — Signal noise can come from various sources, such as frequency converters for pumps, pipe noise, or signal scattering from particles or gas bubbles. QStar meters implement advanced signal coding and detection algorithms to digitally filter unwanted "noise" and only the correct coded signal will be identified as a valid signal from the flowmeter.
