Recommended Accessories

Hioki BT3554-10 Offers

Compatible with many battery types, including lead-acid, nickel-cadmium and nickel-hydride batteries. Plus, it comes with a carrying case for easy transportation to and from work sites.

Features

  • Battery measurement can be performed while the battery is connected to its host device, without taking it offline
  • Measure and save data in as fast as 2 seconds
  • Instantaneously diagnose battery degradation (PASS, WARNING, FAIL) by measuring internal resistance and voltage
  • Noise reduction technology improves noise resistance
  • Screen and audio guidance simplifies measurement
  • Measurement data is linked to site information and saved, reducing management man-hours
  • Protector delivers better ergonomic hold and durability in the field

The battery tester sets a new standard for UPS and lead-acid battery diagnostics. Since the battery’s internal resistance and voltage are measured using the impedance method, diagnostics can be performed while the battery is connected to its host device, without taking it offline. Proprietary noise reduction technology allows more accurate measurement, even in noisy environments.

By using its comparator function to simultaneously measure the internal resistance and voltage of a lead-acid, nickel-cadmium, or nickel-hydride battery, the battery tester can generate comparative judgments quantifying degradation of the cell based on user-specified threshold values. Furthermore, voltage sign detection facilitates instantaneous determination of whether batteries have been connected properly in newly installed UPS systems.

The battery tester's auto-hold function automatically holds measured values once they stabilize. The instrument’s auto-memory function, which automatically stores measured values resulting from the auto-hold function in its internal memory, further streamlines work tasks.

The pin-type lead with L-shaped tips significantly improves ease of use when inspecting batteries installed in confined locations.

If you’re measuring a number of batteries in a large area, use the included shoulder strap to carry the instrument with you while making measurements. Or if there are numerous batteries at a single location, use the magnetic strap to hang the instrument on the wall while you work.

Simply touch the test leads to the battery terminals to easily capture battery condition data. Automatically save measurements results using the auto-hold or auto-memory function in just 2 seconds.

Applications

  • Deterioration judgment of stationary lead-acid batteries
