The Kestrel 5500 Fire Weather Meter Pro offers a large, high-resolution and contrast display and highly readable numerals.
In addition to measuring the current environmental conditions, the Kestrel 5500 FWM tracks and logs over 10,000 sets of time-stamped data, providing a complete history of conditions on the fire from the moment you arrive. With optional LiNK wireless connectivity, your data log can be transferred to a Kestrel LiNK app (available on Android) for easy export and email to an FBAN or meteorologist. Data can also be downloaded to a PC with either the accessory Kestrel LiNK Dongle or waterproof USB Data Transfer Cable The Kestrel 5500 also includes a built-in dual color backlight, extra-strong polycarbonate lens and single AA battery operation.

Log, View and Share on the Kestrel LiNK App
Kestrel LiNK is the free app that powers the Fire Weather DROP data logger. With Kestrel LiNK on your smart phone or tablet, you can view real-time readings from any DROP logger within wireless range (up to 100' or more line of sight) via Bluetooth low energy. Min/Max/Average readings are clearly displayed and the data log is viewable as a scrolling graph with detailed data for each logged point. The Kestrel LiNK app also allows adjustment of the logging interval and other settings as well as real-time threshold alerts. Readings can be updated as frequently as every 2 seconds and logging time and date are automatically updated whenever connected to your smart device. You can also send and share real-time and logged environmental data via email, Facebook or Twitter.
