Radiodetection RD5100-S Precision Pipe and Cable Locator for Underground Utilities Model 10/51SI60

The Radiodetection RD5100S is an accurate and reliable sonde and sewer camera locator with three different sonde frequencies for tracing all types of non-metallic pipes using a sonde transmitter (sold separately). The RD5100S locator is well built, has an IP65 ingress protection against dust and water, and a compact size to make this the ideal locator for applications in the plumbing and water and sewer industries. 

The RD5100 series of locators are lightweight, easy to use, and have a large, clear, easy to read display screen. The screen is well designed with information that helps the locating operator to hone in on the target such as guidance arrows, a compass, and signal strength to know you’re still on target.  These features plus some additional ones are standard on the locators in this series.  

                                     

The RD5100S has a sonde mode that detects the signal radiated by a compatible sonde as well as sonde-enabled pipeline camera systems.  The Radiodetection RD5100S has sonde frequencies of 512/640Hz, 8kHz, and 33kHz and the option to later add the active frequencies of 512/640Hz, 8kHz, 33kHz, and 65kHz if desired.  

The locator offers a choice of two locate modes Guidance and Peak+ for each sonde frequency. These locating modes are designed to maximize the effective use of a sonde device for pipe detection.  

The RD5100S is powered by D cell alkaline batteries, but can be upgraded to rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack extending the operating time and reducing the cost of purchasing additional batteries. This locator does not include a sonde.
