Schonstedt Rex Tx-6 Cable Locator Transmitter

The Schonstedt Rex Tx-6 Cable Locator Transmitter is ultra slim and lightweight yet powerful with 1W, 2W, or 5W transmitter power. The large LCD screen has been redesigned with improved icons providing greater clarity and legibility for the user. The transmitter is powered by a NiMH pack rechargeable battery, with an operation time of up to 8 hours of intermittent use. The Rex Cable Locator Transmitter is versatile with 3 operating frequencies: 512 Hz for locating lead wires and sondes, 33 kHz for tracing cables, and 82 kHz for finding pipes. The Schonstedt Rex Transmitter is available as a kit with the REX receiver, Schonstedt Rex Multi-Frequency Pipe and Cable Locator with Ultralight Transmitter.

The Schonstedt Rex Cable Locator Transmitter has a simple, easy-to-use interface. Setting the operating mode and frequency is a matter of pressing a few buttons. The transmitter’s LCD shows the frequency mode, signal strength, depth, and other information. In addition, the transmitter has an audible indicator to provide feedback and warnings to the user in certain situations. The transmitter resists water and dust to IP54 standards.

When operating in the inductive mode, the Rex Transmitter antenna (located inside the handle) is placed over the buried cable or pipe in the direction indicated by the label (perpendicular to the suspected direction of the pipe or cable).
