The TPI 709 is an affordable, simple to use, state of the art flue gas analyzer that uses electrochemical sensors to measure CO, O2, and temperature as well as pressure with the built-in high resolution (0.001” H2O) differential manometer for high efficiency and oil equipment. It will calculate combustion efficiency, CO2, excess air, and CO air free. The TPI 709 Combustion Analyzer comes preset with ten of the most commonly used fuels for residential and light industrial applications.

Overview

TPI recommends that the analyzer be turned on in a clean air environment as the initial purge will set the CO level to zero and the O2 level to 20.9%. During this time the HVAC service technician can select the proper fuel. This fuel will be the default setting when the analyzer is turned back on. After this quick and simple set up, the instrument is ready to measure flue temperature, pressure or leak detection readings which will be displayed on the large, easy to read, backlit LCD screen.

The screen will display 3 measurements at the same time as well as the battery level and fuel selection. The flue gas analyzer is able to store up to 50 readings to different addresses that can be recalled and view on the analyzer or printed out with the optional IR printer (A740). The TPI combustion analyzer 709 can also be purchased as a kit that includes the 709 and a printer (model 709A740).

The TPI combustion analyzer has a carbon monoxide range of 0-10,000 ppm and the K-type thermocouple has a temperature range from -59° F to 1832° F (-50° C to 1000° C).

Sensors in the combustion analyzer need to be replaced periodically and calibration is recommended for optimal performance. The sensors in the analyzer are warranted for two years. As a safety feature the combustion analyzer will not turn off if 15ppm CO is measured.
 
The ruggedly built TPI flue gas analyzer is encased in a rubber boot for protection and comes in a soft carrying case.
