The UEi CD100A is a combustible gas detector with a semiconductor sensor that responds instantaneously to many combustible, non-combustible, and toxic gases. The UEi CD100A is easily adjusted with a steady tic rate that accelerates as the sensor tip approaches a leak to provide a precise indication of the leak source. The CD100A gas leak detector is useful in residential and small commercial applications.

Overview
After allowing the CD100A leak detector to stabilize in fresh air, indicated by a steady tic rate (approx. 2 tics per second), it is ready to locate gas leaks. The tic rate of the CD100A will increase when gas is detected and by rotating the thumbwheel back to a steady tic rate, resetting the gas detector to this new background level you are ready to hone in on the gas leak.
The UEi test instruments CD100A is capable of sensing many combustible gases such as: Acetone, Industrial Solvents, Alcohol, Jet Fuel, Ammonia, Lacquer Thinners, Benzene, Methane, Butane, Naphtha, Ethylene Oxide, Natural Gas, Gasoline-Petrol, Propane, Halon Refrigerants, Hydrogen Sulfide, and Toluene. The UEi combustible gas leak detector CD100A is factory calibrated for methane in air, but should not be used for Carbon Monoxide.
The red LED light flashes more rapidly as the tic rate increases which can be useful in noisy environments to indicate a gas leak. In addition, the gas leak detector includes a headphone jack (headphone not included) that can be used in noisy areas or so not to disturb other people.
The long 18” gooseneck on the UEi CD100A gas leak detector is great to get into hard to reach areas and the tip-light in the sensor cap illuminates’ areas that are not well lit.
The gas detector has a low battery indicator, a separate battery compartment for easy replacement, a sensor cover to protect the sensor, and a rugged protective boot.
