UEi EM720SPKIT Differential Manometer Static Pressure Kit
with Enhanced Temperature Compensation.
The UEi EM720SPKIT is a Static Pressure Test Kit with a Hi-Res Differential Manometer with temperature compensation and a pressure range of +80 InWC to measure draft, gas supply, manifold or burner pressures in residential and light commercial properties. The UEi EM720SPKIT dual input allows a technician to measure pressure drops across heat exchangers, cooling coils, and supply and returns. The EM720SPKIT kit also includes static pressure probes for static pressure testing or to measure total external static pressure (TESP) per the manufacturer’s specification.
Available UEi EM720 Hi-Res Differential Manometer.

Overview
Static pressure testing is conducted when a system is initially set up. The overall external static pressure of the air system needs to be measured to ensure that the duct system’s external static pressure is not greater than the equipment’s rated static pressure. Static pressure is also known as system air resistance, and it is essentially a measure of the resistance to airflow that occurs in the HVAC system. Symptoms of a static pressure issue include excessive noise, hot and cold spots in the home, and even equipment failure. High static pressure is often caused by blockages in ducts, improper duct sizing, closed dampers, and kinked flex ducts while low static pressure is caused by leaking ductwork, separated duct connections, missing filters, or low fan speeds.
The EM720SPKIT will help calculate:
- The bursting pressure or outward force in a duct system
- The pressure of air pushing against the walls of a duct system
- The resistance air encounters as it is traveling through a duct system
The UEi EM720SPKIT has a pressure range of +80 InWC, a zero function, a hold button to “freeze” the currently displayed reading, and will record the minimum, maximum, and Average pressure.
The EM720SPKIT UEi Test Instruments is simple to use and has a large, easy-to-read digital backlit display allowing a service technician to quickly and efficiently see the measurements. The EM720SPKIT differential manometer offers 11 selectable units of measurements bar, ozin2, psi, inHg, mbar, mmHg, Pa(kPa), kgcm2, inH2O, ftH2O, cmH2O. The UEi EM720SPKIT digital differential pressure manometer is ruggedly built with sturdy metal fittings and protected by a rubber boot with a built-in magnet for easy visual access while working.
A manometer is an important tool for HVAC technicians to monitor and troubleshoot problems in HVAC systems. Differential pressure measurements are used to ensure that air flows properly through ductwork, filters, and other components of the HVAC system. In addition, a dual manometer can be helpful to determine the efficiency of a system and identify any blockages or leaks that may be affecting its performance. A digital manometer saves time by eliminating time-consuming conversions, which reduces the possibility of mistakes. The EM720SPKIT digital differential manometer is ideal for HVAC/R technicians requiring a highly accurate standard to check equipment and ensure proper system performance.
